High School Championships - Volunteers Needed

Team-

Thanks in advance for your patience with my e-mails…. There is a lot of info to be communicated during this time of the season.  We would not have a HS Racquetball League at all if it were not for all the volunteer coaches, parents, etc… That being said, this is the time of the season where I really need some parent volunteer assistance.

Following is a list of eleven "Volunteer Slots" that have been assigned to Lincoln by High School League, for HS State Championships that begin next week.
Please let me know if you can cover one of the volunteer time slots listed below.
We will also be looking for volunteer referees (adults or kids who know basics of racquetball) on Wed & Thursday nights (5-8 pm), to referee for Lincoln students who need to get home to study for finals.
Please let me know if you can help in this way.

If you are volunteering for a time slot, please e-mail me your cell phone # and home phone # so I can put it on our volunteer list.

NOTE: Without question, volunteers who are working a shift when their student(s) are scheduled to play will be able to take a break to watch the match. Volunteers who are scheduled to work at one location with a student playing at the other location should notify coaches of potential scheduling conflicts in advance, and coaches should reach out to other volunteers within their schools to help cover that shift/portions of the shift.

Brief description of volunteer roles:
Information desk = Staff the desk where players/volunteers check in; answer player/parent questions; assist tournament staff as needed; schedule breaks among volunteers, etc.
* Bag corral = Check in/out players' bags; ensure that only volunteers access the corral area; etc. (there can be some downtime with this position, so volunteers may want to bring a book, etc.)
* Marshal = Continuously monitor student areas/viewing galleries to ensure all students/tournament guests are behaving courteously; make sure open courts get filled ASAP; etc.
* Parking monitor (YMCA only) = Make sure member parking areas are reserved for members only; instruct guests where to park (Note: We will rotate this job with marshals/rovers so volunteers are not outside for too long at one given time)
* Food service = Make sure snacks and drinks (to be provided by our food services chair/committee) are available at all times; remind students to keep this area clean; during the lunch and dinner sessions, additional volunteers are required to help unload/set out meals, monitor serving, clean up; etc.
* Rover = Pitch in where needed; help cover breaks, etc.
* Cleanup = Help make sure everything is cleaned up, put back and in excellent condition before students leave the club at the end of the night, etc.
